Welcome brothers and sisters in Christ, to the Holy Rosary Today website!
Today will pray and meditate on the fourth day of the Novena to St. Gertrude The Great, the Patron Saint of the West Indies.
Let us unite in prayer, opening our hearts to the wisdom and grace that this novena promises, with the hope that it brings us closer to the divine and enriches our spiritual lives.
Day 4 – St. Gertrude the Great Novena Prayer
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Gertrude the Great as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the virtue she showed as she grew in holiness together with her dear friend St. Mechtilde.
St. Gertrude the Great, while you were a student in the monastery school you became close friends with the abbess’ younger sister, Mechtilde. Mechtilde came to have a strong influence over you, and the two of you both grew in holiness.
Please bring my petitions before the throne of God!
During your time as a nun, both you and your friend, St. Mechtilde, grew to practice nuptial mysticism in your spiritual lives and reached great heights of holiness.
Pray for me, that I may benefit from holy friendships in my life. Pray that I may seek to grow in holiness each day.
Please also pray for (mention your intentions here).

St. Gertrude the Great, pray for us!
Concluding Prayer (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be) – 3x
