Lenten Prayer for Sundays
Heavenly Father,
source of infinite love and boundless mercy,
as I enter this Lenten journey,
I come before you with a heart open to your guidance.
In the quiet moments of reflection,
lead me along the path that not only traverses
the challenges of this world
but also draws me closer
to the sanctuary of your divine presence.
Fill my heart with an abundance of gratitude,
an enduring strength,
and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Grant me the courage to honestly
confront my shortcomings and sins.
In this introspection,
may the light of your forgiveness shine brightly,
illuminating the way to redemption.
As the sun rises on each new day,
renew my resolve to grow, evolve,
and become a beacon of your love in this world.
Let the gentle whisper of your voice
resonate in the depths of my soul,
guiding my actions and decisions.
Help me, dear Lord, to extend the same love
and acceptance to others that you shower upon me.
Grant me the wisdom to see beyond faults and shortcomings,
and instead, illuminate the path of compassion and understanding.
Shield me from the temptation to cast judgment and
in turn, empower me to be a vessel of your great love.
Lord, remind me that amidst the busyness of life,
I can always turn to you for solace, comfort, guidance, and wisdom.
Your ever-present light is the compass
that directs me through the storms
and guides me to the shores of tranquility.
