Opening Prayer

Lord, we pray for your divine protection, to surround all migrants and refugees. Shield them from harm and danger, as they start their journey. May your guiding hand lead them to places of safety, where they can find comfort and relief.

We also ask, dear Lord, that you grant wisdom and compassion, to those who have the power to make decisions, that affect the lives of migrants and refugees. May they be inspired by your love to create policies and provide resources that ensure the well-being, and dignity of those who seek a better life.

Bless, O Lord, the Church and all its members, who tirelessly work to serve migrants and refugees. Grant them strength, resilience, and the resources they need to carry out your mission of love and hospitality. May the Church continue to be a beacon of hope, extending open arms to those in need, regardless of borders or backgrounds.

May governments worldwide recognize the significance of this spiritual practice and uphold the freedom for your children to confess their sins without fear of violation. Give strength to those who advocate for religious freedom and the sanctity of the confessional seal.

Lord, in a world that often challenges sacred traditions, may the sacrament of confession remain a refuge for repentant souls. In this place, they can experience your mercy and forgiveness without hesitation or reservation.

Grant courage to those who face persecution, that they may stand firm in their commitment to Jesus Christ, knowing that their faith shines brightest in moments of trial.

We pray, O Lord, that those who perpetrate attacks or harbor hostility towards your Church may have their hearts softened and converted. May the light of Christ, shining through the lives of your faithful, pierce the darkness of misunderstanding and hatred. Grant them the grace to see the love, compassion, and forgiveness that define the Christian response.

Lord, we ask for strength and courage for the Christians in Nigeria who face persecution. Grant them unwavering faith and determination to continue expressing their love for you through worship, even in the midst of adversity. May their faith shine as a beacon of hope and resilience.

Lord, we pray for the leaders and policymakers in governments. Inspire them to create environments that honor the diverse beliefs and consciences of healthcare workers. Consecration to Christ the King

Lord Jesus, King of the Universe, King of our lives and of our families, we come to You to offer You, all that we are and all that we have: our thoughts, our concerns, our qualities, our desires, and our weaknesses.

We wish to put them at your service, in order to collaborate with You, in the salvation of mankind and the extension of your Kingdom in the world.

Receive with love the consecration of our lives, that we make to You today. Accept it as our thanksgiving, for all that we have received from your hands.

Grant us the grace to follow the path of holiness, by imitating your virtues and showing our faith in You, so that all those around us, will find in us authentic disciples of Christ, bearing the stamp of charity, consistency between faith and works, and a burning desire, to see your Kingdom established on earth.

Place in our hearts, the same zeal for the salvation of every single person that You had when You took flesh, and when You died on the cross.

Grant that we may live faithfully your command of charity, which You left us as your legacy.

Inflame our hearts, enlighten our minds, strengthen our resolve, and lead us always along the path of fidelity to your command.
