Welcome brothers and sisters in Christ, to the Holy Rosary Today website!
Today will begin another spiritual journey of our faith, as we start the Novena to St. Gertrude The Great, the Patron Saint of the West Indies.
Let us unite in prayer, opening our hearts to the wisdom and grace that this novena promises, with the hope that it brings us closer to the divine and enriches our spiritual lives.
Day 1 – St. Gertrude the Great Novena Prayer
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us St. Gertrude the Great as an example of holiness. Help us to imitate the love of You she showed from the time she was a young student.
St. Gertrude the Great, little is known with certainty about your early life, except that you began studies at a monastery school when you were four years old.
Your time at this monastery school laid the foundation for a lifetime of holy service to God.
Please bring my petitions before God Whom you served!
You excelled in your studies, and you eventually came to devote yourself to the study of holy things as you grew in your relationship with God.
Pray for me, that I may grow in my love of God each day. Pray that I may be eager to grow in my knowledge of God.
Please also pray for (mention your intentions here).

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
St. Gertrude the Great, pray for us!
Concluding Prayer (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be) – 3x
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
